I get pitches all the time to cover different “newsworthy” happenings, events, press conferences, etc. This is certainly worth discussing. I will express my opinion; I find this HIGHLY offensive and, as I dig, probably unsubstantiated.
THEY ARE BASING THEIR FINDING ON THE REPORTS ISSUED FROM THE DOD 07 AND 08 “REPORTS ON SEXUAL ASSAULT IN THE MILITARY” BELOW.
APPARENTLY WE ARE NOT READING THE SAME REPORT. NO ONE IN THE MEDIA WILL TOUCH THIS STORY. WHICH MAKES IT EVEN MORE DANGEROUS. THE MESSAGE HERE IS “SAY WHATEVER YOU WANT ABOUT GAY PEOPLE. MISINTERPRET GOV FINDING TO FIT A CERTAIN AGENDA TO THE POINT IT COULD ENDANGER THE LIVES OF OUR SOLDIERS AND IT’S OK.
BELOW IS THE EMAIL “PITCH’ I RECEIVED TO BOOK DR CAMERON I REMOVED THE SOURCE…FOR NOW.

“GAY SOLDIERS 5X MORE APT TO RAPE”
Lesbians 15x More Likely to Sexually Assault
According to Dept. of Defense 2-Year Analysis
Colorado Springs: Department of Defense figures indicate a gay was over 5 times more apt to rape a fellow serviceman than a serviceman was to rape a servicewoman! Gays’ extreme aggressiveness stood out in an analysis of the last two years of DOD statistics.
DOD reports logged 3,850 sexual assaults processed in FY2007- FY2008. Even under “don’t ask don’t tell,” a gay soldier was the most apt to commit sexual assault. Similarly, a lesbian servicewoman was 10 to 20 times more apt to sexually assault another servicewoman than a servicewoman was to assault a serviceman. These figures held whether or not Family Research Institute or UCLA Williams Institute estimates of gays in the military were employed.
Available for news media interviews on this topic is Dr. Paul Cameron, chairman of Family Research Institute, Inc. of Colorado Springs.
“These statistics are on-point as to whether gays should be allowed to openly serve,” said Dr. Paul Cameron, chairman of the Family Research Institute, a think-tank in Colorado Springs. “In country after country – a gay teacher is the most apt to molest a pupil. Likewise, in newly released data from the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services, a gay foster parent and a gay adoptive parent is the most apt to molest a charge. Without exception, whether it is a teacher, a foster parent, or an adoptive parent — a man is more apt to molest than a woman. Also without exception — an adult who engages in homosexuality is more apt to molest a pupil, a foster child, or an adoptive childthan one who doesn’t.”
“These findings – from official sources as the Department of Defense and the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services, as well as from compilations of newspaper stories – evidence a strong consistency. “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” doesn’t work that well at suppressing homosexual rape. Imagine how bad it would be if gays could serve openly! Patriotic young men and women join the military to protect our country – not to run the gauntlet because gays are allowed to openly serve.”
